Small Office Support - Going Forward

How you use elpo technology solutions to provide your business with continued technology support is entirely up to you!

Typically, I categorize my customers into two types - those who prefer proactive technology maintenance and those who prefer reactive technology support.

Proactive Maintenance & Support

Being proactive with your technology means ensuring that software updates, security patches, virus and malware scans, and hard drive optimization tasks are done on a regular basis.

Depending on the nature of your business, and how you use your computers, you should consider having regular maintenance performed on a monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly schedule.

This keeps your productivity up, while keeping those disruptive computer glitches to a minimum!

Reactive Support

This situation is for those customers may require proactive maintenance on an as-needed basis, and are really just looking for someone to call when their computers have problems.

Which is best for me?

In either scenario, all work is performed at the same hourly rate.

However, the more time between maintenance windows results directly in maintenance taking longer, and waiting too long for proactive maintenance can lead to performance degradation on your computers. So, for customers with scheduled maintenance, the shorter the time between maintenance windows, the more they enjoy efficient computing, and the maintenance window itself will take less time.

Without any maintenance plan in place, support calls generally take longer, as patches and performance optimizations that would have been applied during a regular maintenance window would typically need to be applied in order to efficiently resolve any serious computer problems.
